- I've been a widow for 11 years now. I'm a published author. I have a BA degree in English Lit. I'm working on a second book of short stories. I retired from the state of WV after sustaining a severe back injury. I have a chocolate Mini Pin named Buddy. He's my little therapy dog. I'm learning how to deal with and accept my physical pain and the limitations with my mobility. It has a challenge for me. It's been one of the most difficult periods in my life...
